# Accessibility and controls

Adjust language, fonts and appearance to suit your way of working. Open **Settings → General**.

```{include} ../_includes/ui-settings.md
```

## Adjust the display

Select **Light** or **Dark**, your preferred **Font size** and a **Font**. You can also use your browser's zoom. Switch the interface language between German and English; this does not translate your chat messages.

## Use the keyboard

| Key | Use |
| --- | --- |
| **Tab / Shift + Tab** | Move to the next or previous control. |
| **Enter / Space** | Activate a focused button or selection. |
| **Ctrl + V / Cmd + V** in the message field | Paste an image from the clipboard; see [Computer Vision](use-images.md#paste-images-from-the-clipboard). |
| **Escape** | Close open dialogs or menus. |
| **Enter** in the desktop message field | Send a message. |
| **Shift + Enter** in the message field | Insert a line break. |

On touch devices, use the arrow button to send. Icons have accessible names; the icon rail displays their meaning on focus or hover.

## On small screens

Open the sidebar using the icon in the header. It overlays the chat and can be closed again. In the settings window, select a section first and use **Back** to return to the section list.

## In this documentation

The app views are HTML. They stand directly in the document and follow its light or dark theme. Use **Deutsch / English** in the header to switch to the corresponding language version of the chapter. The explanations and tables alongside the views also describe the functions in text.

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, use the [contact page](../contact.md) and include the affected function, browser and any assistive technology you use.
