Manage chats#

Open Chat history on the left to find and continue previous chats. The list is grouped by month. Select New chat to start another conversation.

The projects above the list are selectable knowledge sources. They are not folders for chats. See Use projects.

Chat options#

Open the three-dot menu next to a chat.

Action

Result

Rename

Gives the chat a descriptive title.

Share

Opens the dialog for a public sharing link and its permissions.

Archive

Removes the chat from the normal list; you can restore it later.

Delete

Permanently deletes the chat after confirmation.

Rename a chat#

Select Rename, enter a title and save it. For example: “Prepare a seminar” or “Review literature”. The dialog also offers a title suggestion based on the conversation so far.

Restore archived chats#

Open Account → Archived chats at the bottom left. Find the chat and select Restore to return it to the normal history.

Archive in the chat list helps organise your chats. To create a versioned record in a GitLab repository, use GitLab evidence.

Temporary chat#

Use the Temporary chat icon in the header to start a time-limited conversation. The dialog shows the duration configured for your instance.

Temporary chats do not appear in the normal history. Access ends when they expire; a background service handles automatic deletion. Memories and GitLab evidence are disabled in this mode. Files deliberately uploaded to projects remain there. The German label “Privater Chat” therefore refers to a time-limited conversation, not a promise that no data is processed or temporarily stored.

Delete history#

Under Account → Delete history, you can delete the entire history. This affects more than deleting an individual chat. If a chat is shared, end its sharing in the Share dialog when access through the link is no longer wanted.
