Speech input#

The microphone in the message field turns speech into text. A recording is not sent immediately as a chat message: you can review the transcript first.

Start a recording#

  1. Click the microphone in the message field.

  2. Select the Record tab in the Speech-to-Text dialog.

  3. Leave Translate off if you want text in the spoken language.

  4. Click the round microphone button and allow microphone access in your browser.

  5. Speak, then stop the recording using the same button, which now shows a stop icon.

The elapsed time appears while you record. Recording stops automatically after 150 seconds at the latest. chatBHT then processes it.

Use the transcript#

Copy copies the text to the clipboard. Insert into prompt places it in the message field. Review and correct the text there before selecting Send.

Previous recordings#

The Recordings tab shows your account’s saved recordings, including those from other chats. Select a recording to open its details and transcript.

Depending on the available result, you can play or download a recording, copy its transcript or insert it into the prompt, and delete individual recordings. Delete all recordings affects all saved voice recordings in your account.

If recording does not start#

Check microphone permission for chatBHT in your browser settings and check the selected input device. Recording requires a browser with microphone support and a secure connection. Split longer tasks into several recordings.
